We research developments all along the knowledge chain – starting at the highest levels of international politics and economic policy-making that is relevant to financial services regulation. The financial crisis has pushed this element onto the agenda as macro-economic problems are forcing political choices about the nature of regulation. We follow these influences down the EU process to the subsequent detailed measures, and the final step of technical standards.

This is accomplished by real-time monitoring of regulatory events, illuminated by the ideas coming up from a wide array of leading Think Tanks and officials. These views are supplemented by our ever-broadening group of individual writers. These are experts in their own field and include Brief Opinions on the significance of events as well as Bloggers who give quick reactions to particular developments.
