Draft Report on Financial Conglomerates

In his draft report on the proposal on Financial Conglomerates the rapporteur Alain Lipietz amended the definition of financial conglomerates by lowering the threshold of consolidated or aggregated balance sheet total of financial sector entities within a group from 50 to 40% and also suggested the free choice of the calculation method to the financial conglomerates. .
Other amendments were directed to the following subjects:

Intra group transactions and risk concentration;

The identification of the competent co-ordinator;

Deduction of participations;

Co-operative conglomerates.
