Commission extends the deadline for CESR’s technical advice on UCITS

The Committee of European Securities Regulators announced a revised timetable for its work on draft advice to the Commission on clarification of definitions concerning eligible assets for UCITS. The decision followed the extension of CESR’s deadline by the European Commission and enables CESR to consult stakeholders for a second time during the autumn of 2005.

CESR had originally been asked by the Commission to deliver its technical advice by the end of October 2005. The Commission now prolonged requested an extension of the mandate to mid- January 2006.
