S&D - Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament. S&D believes that the policy of deregulation, affecting especially the financial markets, is destroying the economic basis of the social model. It would like to see financial markets being regulated more stringently, financial transactions being taxed, and tax havens being stamped out. S&D website
