CEIOPS held its Members Meeting on 14 September and elected Carlos Montalvo of the Spanish supervisory body Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones as its new secretary general. Montalvo will start his new role on October 15 and then take over fully from Corinti on November 1 following a transition period.
Resigned Alberto Corinti is said to be leaving the pension fund sector to join the European insurance and reinsurance federation CEA.
