CEIOPS Consultative Panel

CEIOPS has established a Market Participants Consultative Panel to assist CEIOPS in the performance of its functions and, in particular, to ensure that the consultation process functions effectively. The Panel will also act as a 'Sounding Board' for CEIOPS.

The Panel is composed by a limited number of independent high level persons. Rotation of the membership will permit the expression of a large number of opinions in the long run. The Panel will:

Express views on the work programme of CEIOPS;

Provide comments on the way in which CEIOPS is exercising its role and, in particular, the adequacy of the consultation with the market actors, consumers and end-users;

Assist CEIOPS in the definition of priorities;

Alert CEIOPS on regulatory inconsistencies in the Single Market and suggest areas for Level 3 work;

Inform CEIOPS on major financial markets evolutions.
