The Commission has asked CEBS to provide technical advice on several issues covering the deposit guarantee systems as part of a wide-ranging review of the Directive on Deposit Guarantee Schemes. CEBS has been asked to consider among others whether the exchange of information arrangements between home and host supervisory authorities on deposit guarantee issues is satisfactory and to consider whether there are reasons to concentrate all responsibility for deposit guarantees with the home country scheme.
Deadline for advice is 16 September 2005.
