CEBS publishes the outcome of an in-depth analysis of delegation of supervisory tasks based on practical experience. CEBS identified on-site examinations, including model validation, and liquidity concession models as the two areas in which delegation of tasks currently takes place.
Regarding delegation of on-site examinations including model validation, where no legal or practical impediments are identified, more frequent use of these types of delegation may be expected in the future in both directions from home to host supervisors and vice versa, and regarding both subsidiaries and branches
For liquidity concessions national legal or regulatory frameworks have established the conditions for such waivers. CEBS recommends that the CEBS members propose these steps to their national legislators where relevant.
