The 2017 SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) rulebook version 1.2 has been published on 28 June 2018 and is effective as of that same day.
The EPC is required to ensure that all its SEPA schemes provide an adequate degree of security, operational reliability and business continuity for the concerned EPC scheme participants and the EPC scheme end-users. For that reason, the EPC maintains a Risk Management Annex (RMA) per rulebook whereby the RMA is only shared with the concerned scheme participants. The RMA for the SCT rulebook has been adopted and itself enters into force as of 28 June 2018.
Unlike the other EPC scheme rulebooks, the version 1.1 of the 2017 SCT rulebook published in October 2017 did not include yet references to and compliance obligations with an RMA.
To this end, the EPC has published the version 1.2 of the 2017 SCT rulebook which stipulates in the rulebook sections 5.7 and 5.8 that each SCT scheme participant is required to comply with the applicable provisions issued in relation to risk management as set out in the SCT rulebook and the related RMA. No changes have been made to the operational and business rules of the SCT rulebook.
Annex III of the 2017 SCT rulebook version 1.2 lists all changes compared to versions 1.0 and 1.1.
