Bank capital rules: Council confirms agreement with EP
The Permanent Representatives Committee today approved a compromise text on the "CRD IV" package amending the EU's rules on capital requirements for banks and investment firms. The new rules will apply from 1 January 2014 if publication takes place in the Official Journal by 30 June 2013.
