-International banking regulators yesterday intensified efforts to meet industry concerns over the complexity of proposed new rules governing the amount of capital banks must hold.
A new consultation paper will be delayed beyond the original February timetable, and is likely to be launched in the middle of next year. It is possible the rules will not come into force by 2005, already a year later than planned.
