MEP Markus Ferber (EPP, DE) has been appointed rapporteur for MiFID II. Shadows rapporteurs on MiFID II have been nominated and are the following: Robert Goebbels (S&D, LU), Olle Schmidt (ALDE, SE), Kay Swinburne (ECR, UK) and Pascal Canfin (Greens, FR).
Ferber has defined the timetable in committee as follows:

Ø Deadline for amendments: 24 April
Ø Consideration of amendments: 30/31 May
Ø Second consideration of amendments (if needed): 18/19 June
Ø Vote in ECON: 9/10 July
