The Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS) has released a new edition of its reference work on payment and other financial market infrastructures in the CPSS countries, widely known as the "Red Book".
The Red Book describes the current payment, clearing and settlement systems in the CPSS countries. The new edition also covers post-trade services more comprehensively than the previous editions, in particular for central counterparties and trade repositories.
The new edition is being published in two volumes. The first volume covers 10 countries. The second volume, covering the remaining countries, is scheduled for release in 2012. It will also include descriptions of various international payment arrangements.
Statistical information is available separately in the annual updates "Statistics on payment and settlement systems in the CPSS countries".
