Education sessions are public
FASB meetings that allow Board members to learn about financial reporting issues expected to be discussed at an upcoming decision-making meeting and to consider alternative ways of addressing them. Education sessions are usually held one week before a public Board meeting is held on that same topic; no official
FASB decisions are made at education sessions. In December, the
FAF began video web casts of all
FASB decision-making meetings.
The first
FASB education sessions to be video web cast are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 9 following the weekly Board meeting.
