The Council adopted conclusions on the Commission's the annual growth survey, under the 2017 'European Semester', the EU's annual policy coordination process.
The Council broadly shared the Commission's analysis, with a focus on the three following priorities:
– boosting investment;
– pursuing structural reforms;
– responsible fiscal policies.
The 2017 European Semester will conclude in July, with the adoption of country-specific recommendations on the member states' economic, employment and fiscal policies.
