Süddeutsche Zeitung writes how ever since the UK decided to leave the EU, European leaders have been very smug about how unified the bloc is now. The article warns that this feeling of unity could soon be over, however.
      
    
    
      
	Once the transitional period is decided on and signed off, the most difficult phase of the Brexit negotiations still lies ahead. Negotiation talks will start moving away from citizen rights and the financial settlement, to eventually focus on future trade relationship with the UK. This is when EU leaders may well show there true face, revealing that the 27 EU member states have very diverging interests when it comes to trade. The Britsh government may also know how to use that for themselves and the EU27 must be careful that Brexit does not turn into a source of divergence.
