March 2024 ISSB Update and podcast now available

The ISSB’s work with jurisdictions around the world as they look to adopt or otherwise use the ISSB Standards. Faber/Lloyd also share reflections on the recent SEC ruling.

The ISSB Update, summarising the March 2024 International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) meeting, is now available. You can also listen to Chair Emmanuel Faber and Vice-Chair Sue Lloyd in the latest episode of the ISSB podcast.

In the podcast Emmanuel and Sue speak about the ISSB’s work with jurisdictions around the world as they look to adopt or otherwise use the ISSB Standards. They also share reflections on the recent SEC ruling.

They discuss key takeaways from the Sustainability Standards Advisory Forum meeting, the ISSB meeting and the Transition Implementation Group on IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 meeting, which were all held in Frankfurt this month.

In this week’s ISSB meeting, the Board discussed and agreed on the strategic direction and balance of activities for the next two-year work plan.

Emmanuel and Sue also provide an update on the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Taxonomy, which is on track to be published in April.

Finally, they look ahead to further ISSB activities in March, when Emmanuel will be in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa engaging with African leaders and stakeholders.

You can find all our podcasts on our podcast page. They are also available on Spotify, iTunes and our YouTube channel.
