The Commission launched, on 13 February 2007, a public consultation on draft Commission Guidelines on the assessment of non-horizontal mergers under Council Regulation on the control of concentrations between undertakings.
The Guidelines will contribute to the predictability of the Commission's assessment of vertical and conglomerate mergers under the EU Merger Regulation.
Interested parties were invited to provide comments on this draft by 12 May 2007. The finalisation of the Guidelines is planned to be adopted by the Commission before the end of 2007. The comments submitted during the public consultation can be viewed via the links below.
