The French securities regulator
AMF issued a consultation paper on promoting better regulation. The institution poses a number of questions on its consultation methods and asks among others what practical steps could be made take to improve investor protection, how the
AMF should divide up its time between different types of supervision, and where the balance should be struck between principles-based and rules-based regulation.
Deadline for consultation is 30 September 2006
