The G-7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, the IMF  and the World Bank will meet in Washington on Friday to discuss recent financial market turmoil. In a statement in advance to the meeting, Treasury Under Secretary McCormick outlined the main topics on the agenda which also include the current economic conditions and financial market developments, as well as the reform of the international financial institutions.
 
Secretary Paulson has asked the Financial Stability Forum, under the leadership Mario Draghi, to form a working group to look at the underlying causes of the turbulence and offer proposals in the areas of risk management, the accounting and valuation of financial derivatives, the role and methodologies of credit rating agencies in structured finance, and basic supervisory principles of prudential oversight of regulated financial entities. 
 
A final report of the FSF  is expected in April 2008.
