FESE issued its comments on the commission consultation on the FSAP evaluation focussing on the perceptions of the process and noting that there is no need to adopt a full set of measures in the form a package in the foreseeable future, at least for regulating the securities markets.
FESE recommends a higher degree of attention to the impact of the proposals on creating unnecessary regulatory complexity and also reminds that the specific circumstances of each case need to be considered before determining whether future proposals shall be made in form of a regulation or a directive.
