The French securities regulator published its work schedule for domestic and international regulation activities until 2008. Covering the next two years, the schedule is structured around the key tasks of the regulator and the principles governing its action. It is based primarily on an analysis of the trends both in the structure and the functioning of the markets, and in the regulatory environment governing them at the European level. It concludes with a table summarising the different tasks to be completed between now and the start of 2008.
It is organised around a description of AMF's different objectives in each sector of activity:
listed companies,
financial intermediaries,
market infrastructures, and
asset managers.
This program is up for a public consultation until 2 June 2006 to allow all stakeholders to submit their comments on the objectives and rhythm of the regulatory changes to be made, before their implementation.
