-European insurers have noted with interest your draft report for the European Parliament Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs on the proposal for a directive on Insurance mediation. They support the approach adopted concerning, in particular, clarifications of the definition of insurance mediation (amendment 8), the establishment of a register in each Member State with the option for separate registers for different classes of intermediary (amendment 3), the introduction of a time limitation for professional indemnity cover (amendment 20).
