The Council adopted conclusions on better regulation with particular emphasis on reduction of administrative burdens on businesses, simplification of legislation and the use of impact assessments.

Main results of the Council

 

The Council adopted conclusions on competitiveness and innovation of the European industry.

 

It also adopted conclusions on better regulation with particular emphasis on reduction of administrative burdens on businesses, simplification of legislation and the use of impact assessments.

 

The Council adopted a regulation for setting up the fuel cells and hydrogen joint technology initiative.

 

The Council adopted a resolution on the managements of intellectual property in knowledge transfer activities.

 

It also adopted a set of conclusions in the field of research concerning:

• European research infrastructures and their regional dimension;

• family-friendly scientific careers;

• the launch of the "Ljubljana process" (towards full realisation of the European Research Area)

• evaluation and monitoring of EU research framework programmes.
