The Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) has received a second call for advice from the Commission on a number of issues with regard to the review of large exposures.
In particular, the Commission is interested in whether or to what extend the issues of the adviced could be addressed through enhanced supervisory cooperation and convergence without the need for recourse of legislative measures. Also, the Commission is interested whether legislative or supervisory regimes in place in other jurisdictions contain features that should be considered in the EU.
The first part of the advice should be send to the Commission by 30 September 2007, the second part by February 2008.
