CESR and SEC announce enhanced cooperation and collaboration

As already announced by SEC Chairman Donaldson in a speech at the European Policy Centre in Brussels last January, the SEC and CESR will enhanced their cooperation and collaboration. The Directors of the SEC and CESR announced their intention to publish terms of reference for enhanced cooperation and collaboration between the both institutions at the next CESR plenary meeting, to be held on June 4. This cooperation aims to identify emerging risks in the US and EU securities markets.

A press conference will take place in Amsterdam on 4 June 2004. CESR Chairman, Arthur Docters Van Leeuwen and SEC Commissioner, Roel C. Campos will present the terms of reference.
