The evolution of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) Schemes relies on close dialogue between the European Payments Council (EPC) and the representatives of the demand side of the payments market (such as corporates, merchants, consumers…), as well as with technical players (clearing and settlement infrastructures, payment software providers…).
The newly created EPC Scheme Technical Forum and Scheme End-User Forum replace, with a broader scope, respectively the EPC Clearing and Settlement Forum, and the EPC Customer Stakeholder Forum.
These two new groups will be informed about the maintenance and further evolution of the existing SEPA Credit Transfer and SEPA Direct Debit Schemes, as well as any future relevant scheme managed by the EPC. They will also be entitled to express recommendations concerning the Rulebooks (i.e., the rules governing the schemes).
The EPC will publish on its website the approved agenda and minutes of the SEUF and ESTF meetings, which first occurred in September 2015.
Further details about the composition, mission, and meeting documents can be found on the dedicated SEUF and ESTF pages.
