On 11 April 2012, ministers François Baroin and Valérie Pécresse presented the Stability Programme for France to the Finance Committees of the National Assembly and the Senate. This document specifies the macro-economic assumptions and the trajectory of public finances looking forwards to 2016.
After review by two legislative committees, the stability programme will be forwarded to the European Commission by the end of April, according to the timetable of the "European semester".
