ALFI conference: Towards the successful implementation of the AIFMD - identifying the opportunities, addressing the challenges

Further to the adoption of the final text of Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, ALFI hosted an exceptional one-day conference fully dedicated to analysing the implications of the Directive for the industry, which attracted over 180 participants.

The morning sessions covered case studies assessing practical implications and focused on steps to comply with the directive. The afternoon sessions were dedicated to identifying product-specific challenges, ascertaining how to implement the Directive into Luxemburg law, and identifying the new opportunities the AIFMD offers for the Luxemburg Financial Centre.
