Financial World Article: Over to you, Banks

In an article published in the Financial World, Graham Bishop argues that MiFID gives banks an opportunity to challenge the monopolies of many stock exchanges.

“There is a choice: firms should either position themselves to benefit from an array of competing market-makers, or become a market-maker themselves, offering trading, payment and settlement all in one“, Graham Bishop says. “It would be a serious strategic error to dismiss casually the potential implications of MiFID”, he says and lines out different scenarios.
