CEIOPS report on IOPR market development

CEIOPS released a document providing a general overview on the cross-border development of the operation of institutions for occupational retirement provisions. The report concludes that to date there have been no major difficulties in the operation of the notification procedures. CEIOPS competent authorities are co-operating effectively with each other in IORPs’ cross-border activities.

The early experience in relation to the cross border activities of IORPs has revealed that some features of the IORP Directive might benefit from further clarification. CEIOPS will include in its work ongoing supervision and notification procedure issues.
