Insurance Europe has, along with the European social partners in the Insurance Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee (ISSDC), signed a joint declaration on the social effects of digitalisation.
Commenting on the joint declaration, Sebastian Hopfner, chairman of the ISSDC and chairman of Insurance Europe’s social dialogue platform, said: “The European insurance industry is leading the way in developing cutting-edge products and services for consumers in a digital age. In this time of change for the industry, dialogue between the European social partners will be more valuable than ever in ensuring a positive result for stakeholders.”
The ISSDC is the European level forum in which insurance employer and employee representatives discuss topics of common interest with the support of the European Commission. These topics include the ageing insurance workforce, telework, good work-life balance, qualifications, life-long learning and health and safety at work.
