ABI bulletin on Solvency II

ABI issued its latest Solvency II bulletin which provides an overview of recent developments. The ABI believes that Solvency II has the potential to deliver a world-leading regulatory regime for insurers in Europe, and that can offer a genuine competitive advantage as well as providing for greater competition and protection for consumers. 2008 will be a crucial year in which the proposals are finally agreed and there will follow a significant amount of work to develop the detail of the new regime.
