Commission consultation on corporate governance priorities

The Commission launched a public consultation on future priorities for the Action Plan on Company Law and Corporate Governance, which was already presented in May 2005. The consultation comprises 14 questions which aim to clarify and evaluate the overall aim for future priorities, the relevance of the medium and long term measures in light of the Lisbon agenda, and the added value of modernising and simplifying European Company Law, with particular regard to the Better Regulation initiative.

Deadline for consultation is 31 March 2006.
