FT: Brussels set to recommend rotation rules for auditors

“Senior partners working on audits should be changed periodically, but there should be no compulsory rotation of audit firms, Brussels is set to recommend. “

“In a series of best practice recommendations due out next month, the European Commission is also expected to stop short of calling for sweeping restrictions on the non-audit services of accounting firms. The guidelines are the first attempt to set European Union-wide standards on auditors' independence.“
