La Libération: Deciphering the Brexit deal

The Behind Brussels' Blog of La Libération writes how the EU-UK agreement was less of an agreement than an unconditional surrender of London and offers to decipher the 15-page Brexit deal.

On the Irish border, it comments that Brussels and London have yet to find the magic solution, but are currently closer than ever to the Hong Kong formula of 'one country, two systems'. The article also remarks that London has also lost the battle of the financial settlement. Moving on to the section on the future role of the ECJ, the article welcomes that citizen's rights are secured, but also  agrees with Donald Tusk, who said the toughest challenge still lies ahead in finding an agreement on the future links between the UK and the EU.
