The Irish Times: Northern Irish Business Feeling Voiceless

The Irish Times reports on the concerns of business leaders in Northern Ireland with what they perceive as an absence of strong representation in Brexit talks from elected officials and a lack of clarity from the British government on its future trading relationship with the EU.
George Fleming, co-founder of Fleming Agri-Products who voted remain in the 2016 referendum, feels the interests of Northern Ireland are not being pushed to the forefront; “…there’s nobody actually presenting a united front on what’s best for Northern Ireland.” Ciga Healthcare CEO and leave voter Irwin Armstrong criticizes the sluggish progress of Theresa May’s government; “We wasted a year and a half on fiddling around, and that’s not how you do business.” The report captures the feeling of frustration felt by business interests from across the Brexit divide.
