The YouGov survey, commissioned by the People’s Vote campaign, found that two in every three business leaders regarded the Conservatives as traditionally pro-business.
However, on Brexit only 26% said the party was pursuing business-friendly policies, while 57% disagreed.
Dominic Grieve, the former attorney-general, said: “This poll highlights the extent to which the Conservative Party is jeopardising its reputation with the business community as a result of the way Brexit has unfolded. This should be a wake-up call because our party is risking everything for which we have always stood.” [...]
