However it underlines that some provisions could have an adverse impact on the efficiency of the anti-money laundering measures in the fund industry.

ALFI issued an opinion paper on the European Commission’s AML package. ALFI supports the EU Commission’s efforts to fight money-laundering and financing of terrorism and is in favour of harmonising further certain professional obligations of European financial industry stakeholders.
