ESMA hearing on future market abuse measures

ESMA is seeking input from investors that deal in financial instruments and emission allowances subject to the MAR, issuers of instruments that fall within the scope of the Regulation, financial intermediaries and operators of trading venues. It will consider all comments received by 27.1.14.
The Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) aims to enhance market integrity and investor protection. It will achieve this by updating and strengthening the existing market abuse framework, by extending its scope to new markets and trading strategies, and by introducing new requirements.
A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, 15 January 2014. ESMA will consider all comments received by Monday, 27 January 2014.
