In a new report sponsored by LogicaCMG, Graham Bishop investigates the implications of MiFID and finds that the collapsing price of technology is likely to lead more banks than expected to become “Systematic Internalisers” in November 2007 when MiFID comes into force. That may well unleash a major upheaval in trading that will produce many opportunities for profit by those banks that position early”.
