The Committee on Legal Affairs has been granted enhanced cooperation in order to contribute to the own-initiative Report of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.
A parallel own-initiative report on Transparency of Institutional Investors is being prepared in JURI.
At this meeting, the draftswoman will present a working document, and a debate will follow.

The report was adopted with a number of compromise amendments.
The Rapporteur generally welcomed the Commission's approach and made a number of comments to the options and questions put by the Communication, as well as additional remarks in relation to the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act, new EU legislation and the recent Volkswagen judgment of the Court of Justice.
