Banking Sector satisfied with progress on Prospectus Directive

05 November 2002

-
In a joint press release the European Banking Federation (FBE) and the International Primary Market Association (IPMA) expressed their satisfaction with the European Union Finance Ministers’ political agreement on the proposed Prospectus Directive reached on 05 November.

However, both organizations believe that issuers should continue to have the freedom to choose among the countries where the company is registered or where they intend to list their shares and bonds or offer them to the public.
