IFSL report: London leading centre for hedge funds in Europe

The International Financial Services, London (IFSL) published a new report illustrating the pre-eminence of London as the leading centre in Europe for managers of hedge funds. European-based hedge funds' assets managed out of London nearly doubled between 2002 and 2003.

The 513 European-based hedge funds located in London in 2003 accounted for more than 70% of European assets under management. London is also the leading European centre for hedge-fund services notably the prime brokerage services offered by the leading London based investment banks.
