Capital Requirements Directives: Implementing measures, Consideration of draft motion for a resolution
ECON discussed a draft motion for a resolution on the implementing measures of the CRD to exclude CRAs from the Commitology procedure. Rapporteur Othmar Karas (EPP/AT) notes in the draft resolution that disclosure and transparency obligations on ECAIs and Credit Rating Agencies should be dealt with coherently and consistently. He therefore considers that the draft Commission directive exceeds the implementing powers and calls on the Commission to withdraw the draft measure and submit a new one to the Committee.
