The statement, issued by the International Institute of Finance, said that consultations had moved forward in Paris regarding the elements of a voluntary private sector initiative (PSI) for Greece.
Consultations moved forward today in Paris regarding the elements of a voluntary PSI for Greece building on the October 26/27 agreements of the euro area heads of state. The private sector welcomed the willingness of the authorities to work on means to enhance the quality of the exchanged debt. Progress was realised and both sides agreed to continue their effort to find a voluntary solution that would help put Greece on a path of debt sustainability and economic recovery.
