CEIOPS QIS 2 Pre-Test

CEIOPS made public a package of documents and a questionnaire with respect to QIS2 on which the industry is consulted by means of a “pre-test” before the actual QIS2 exercise takes off. The pre-test is intended to deliver a quantitative estimate of the overall impact of the new solvency system. After the pre-test an amended version will be presented to CEIOPS’ members at their 25 & 26 April 2006 meeting for approval.

The “pre-test” is conducted with a number of pre-selected insurance undertakings. It serves to test the infrastructure and the feasibility of the upcoming QIS2 exercise.

The “pre-test” will last until 06 April 2006. After the “pre-test” the final QIS2 package will be prepared.

QIS2 is scheduled from 01 May – 31 July 2006. A post-QIS2 consultation paper at the end of October 2006.
