-The parliament approved the
report of Olle Schmidt (ELDR, S) on the
UCITS Directive. The Parliament proposes the review period for capital requirement no later than three years after the entry into force. Commissioner Bolkestein stated that he could accept the amendments and noted that the legislation was broadly supported by the financial service industry.
