El Pais reports back from a small gathering of international journalists in Tony Blair's office in London.
The former Prime Minister told the press he considered it crucial for Theresa May to come out of the June 8election faced with a strong opposition. He also claimed that the UK would one day re-join the European bloc despite Brexit going ahead. His advice to Europe is to avoid a hostile approach, as there was still a long way to go until the UK leaves the EU.
He also pointed out that the British government was not as closed-in on its positions as it pretended to be. Blair also said he believed that the British people could still change their mind about Brexit after they were confronted with the final exit deal.
