The number of companies receiving private equity investment fell by 8%, while the amount invested fell by 16% to €3.9bn.
In the second quarter of 2009 the number of companies receiving private equity investment fell by 8% compared with the first three months of the year, while the amount invested fell by 16% to €3.9bn, according to data released by EVCA today. In the first half of the year €8.5bn was invested altogether, 65% less than in the previous six month period.
